Community Council

The Community Council gives educational stakeholders the opportunity to have direct input regarding resources and expenditures allotted to schools from the state of Utah's Land Trust funds. The Community Council gives parents, teachers, and administration an opportunity to be a member of a group that discusses the allocation of these funds for academic improvement.

The Community Council also acts as the school’s Sex Education Curriculum committee, Wellness committee, as well as other committees/functions for the school.

If you are interested in being a part of this council for this or an upcoming year, please email Catherine at csumner@questac.org.

School LAND Trust Program

In the state of Utah, monies from school trust lands are distributed to every public school through the School LAND Trust Program. Quest Academy has a School LAND Trust Committee whose responsibilities include creating and approving the School LAND Trust Plan each year which identifies an academic need and a proposed solution using the annual funds. The committee is an advisory body that may be comprised of parents, teachers, and administrators. All School LAND Trust Committee actions and plans are overseen and approved by the Governing Board of Directors. School LAND Trust Committee members are willing volunteers who care about the success of students and overall school improvement and Quest Academy is grateful for their time and dedication.

The School LAND Trust Committee meetings are open to the public. Agendas and minutes are posted on the Community Council page. The council will utilize and follow the School LAND Trust Committee Rules of Order and follow a pre-determined agenda. For more information about the School LAND Trust Program, visit www.SchoolLandTrust.org.
