Biography

This is my tenth year working at Quest Academy. I love this school and the sense of community it brings. I previously worked with Kindergarten through fifth grade students in the intervention program for three years. I was also a support teacher in a third grade classroom for the Special Education Department. I’ve enjoyed working with Special Education and struggling learners. I’ve also participated on the DIBELS testing team as well as the Child Study Team and enjoyed being a director for the school musicals. I was fortunate enough to settle into 2nd grade and am looking forward to my sixth year on the 2nd grade team. I am so excited to be teaching second graders! They are so eager to learn and I love seeing them progress.

In December, I will have been married for 21 years to my best friend and we have three amazing kids. I have 2 college students and a sophomore in high school. All 3 attended Quest Academy. We love to travel and spend time together.

It is my intent and passion to develop young minds. I love creating an environment that fosters creativity and confidence. I believe in all of my students and their ability to become effective and positive citizens. Being able to see, first-hand, all the amazing things they accomplish in 2nd grade is a privilege that I am so grateful to have. I am looking forward to this year and am so excited to get started!
