STEEM

Each week, elementary students participate in Science, Technology, Engineering, Emotional Learning, and Math (STEEM) instruction. In addition to fostering creativity, risk taking, and collaboration, this class prepares students to perform in the local Math / Science Olympiad. 

Students learn to think critically to solve problems and use skills from Leader in Me. These skills help “students learn how to become self-reliant, take initiative, plan ahead, set and track goals, do their homework, prioritize their time, manage their emotions, be considerate of others, express their viewpoint persuasively, resolve conflicts, find creative solutions, value differences, and live a balanced life.” (Franklin Covey, leaderinme.org)
